MISSION STATEMENT

To represent and be a national advocacy group for women who received Anti-D, infected with Hepatitis C, which was manufactured by the Irish Blood Transfusion Service Board;

Provide an organisation structure to support and communicate with the Anti-D women, others who are secondary infected from within this group and their families;

To advocate for the delivery of Statutory Rights and entitlements provided under the Health (Amendment) Act, 1996 and the Hepatitis C Compensation Tribunal Act, 1997 now and into the future.

GOALS OF THE GROUP

To advocate that the statutory rights and support services will continue to be provided for this group as it ages. This will include the delivery of primary and secondary care, medical and other services as well as services and treatments provided through the specialised hospital units;

To advocate for the delivery of all entitlements provided under legislation in the specified acts when needed and where required;

To provide an organisational structure for the group that meets the highest governance and company law standards and which support its members, as determined by the group.

WHAT WE DO

We hold regular meetings around Ireland where members can come together to talk about any issues they are facing related to Anti-D as well as having a cuppa and chat. These meetings offer support and information while also being a social outlet for our members.
We advocate to ensure delivery of the full range of entitlements set out in legislation and liaise with the HSE on behalf of Anti-D Women members.
